Timi Rößing is a German contemporary visual artist from Mannheim. Known for his neo-expressionist painting style, marked by bold colours and clean lines, Rößing's work channels pure joie de vivre. Themes such as love, celebration, sun and sea return again and again in ever new forms.

Born in 2004 in Mannheim, Rößing grew up in an environment steeped in art. Through his grandparents, who are active members of the Kunsthalle Mannheim's support circle, he came into contact with the art world from an early age. Yet even as a teenager, Timi carved out his own path: at just 16, he co-founded the fashion label Scared Unique with a friend, organised pop-up stores in Mannheim's city centre and at the Engelhorn department store, and designed tour merchandise for a well-known Viennese band. After finishing school, he took the next step: an apprenticeship with the internationally renowned artist Stefan Szczesny in Saint-Tropez, with whom Rößing has worked closely since 2022. An experience that proved decisive for his artistic development.

His first solo and group exhibitions followed in Kronberg, Wiesbaden, Karlsruhe and Mannheim, during which Rößing's unmistakable style steadily took shape. Alongside these artistic pursuits, he ran a dual course of study in fashion design and business administration, pursuing both fields in parallel, a demanding path that he completed at the age of 21, graduating with a double degree. Even while balancing these studies, he never let up on his artistic projects, including a collaboration with the Mannheim denim label Goldgarn, for whose charity collection "From Mannheim to the World" he designed three exclusive graphics in 2024, with proceeds supporting clean drinking water projects in Nairobi and Mali.

While his exhibited works celebrate pure joie de vivre, Rößing simultaneously engages with critical reflections on politics and current affairs; pieces that are deliberately shared only through social media and in catalogues, revealing a second, more personal strand of his practice.

Whether on canvas, in public space while creating a mural, or at the intersection of art and fashion, Timi Rößing sees every moment of everyday life as an occasion for creation. His figurative, colourful and relaxed visual language invites viewers to look at life with the same lightness he brings to the canvas.
